Description
Helmet badge, 16th Bombay Native Infantry, 1882-1885. Brass badge with regimental number, ‘16’, surmounted by a Tudor Crown, with a scroll on top bearing the title, ‘Bombay N.I’, and a scroll below, with the battle honour, ‘Afghanistan’, for the 2nd Afghan War (1878-1880). Associated with 16th Bombay Native Infantry (1824-1885). From the J L Chapple Indian Army Collection.
