Letter to Greenwood, Cox and Company from William Warre, Cove of Cork, 17 Jun 1808. Copy only. Reply to letter from Maj Gen W Payne to Greenwood, Cox and Company, Canterbury, 5 Jun 1808. States that now that the number of captains in the regiment had increased he hoped to be allowed to remain in the 23rd (Light) Dragoons. From a collection of 566 papers of Lt Gen Sir William Warre (1784-1853) relating to his military career, 1807-1851.
