Arctic Mk II outer mitten, olive green, 1992 (c). One of a pair of mittens issued to Capt James Donal Orme-Smith, 1st Bn Irish Guards for the Bosnian conflict. He was attached to D Sqn 9/12th Lancers, 1997 - 1998. Size large, for right hand, with adjustable velcro wrist straps, gortex exterior, separate trigger finger and elasticated and quilted interior. From a collection of ten items relating to an arctic camouflage suit, 1987 (c)-1996 (c). Associated with Bosnia (1991- ).
