Shooting medal awarded to James Wilkins by Sir James Sanderson, City of London Armed Association, 1795. Silver, unhallmarked, raised fluted rim on both sides, design within rim oon both siders, hinging suspender loop Obverse: Upon a ground engraved with horizontal wavy lines, an engraved circlet, 30 mm across. Within the circlet and upon a vertically and horizontally hatched ground, a shield charged with the arms of the City of London (a cross in the first quarter, a sword in pale, point upwards), the arms of the cross hatched diagonally to indicate light and shade rather than colour.
