Lapel badge, Civilian, worn by Lt Col P E Nolan, 1947 (c). In gilt metal, a frosted six-pointed star with ball-tipped points, the topmost point of which is displaced by a monarchial crown. At the centre, a tiger’s head affronté in relief. Encircling and entwined with the star, a red enamel circlet. Reverse bears a gilt metal crescent-shaped stud fitting.
