Symbol of the Buffs badge laid out in stones on the ground, Salonika, taken by Capt Philip Rolls Asprey whilst serving with 2nd Bn The Buffs (East Kent Regiment), 1915. From a photograph album of 86 photographs taken by Capt Philip Rolls Asprey, MC, 1914-1918. Unusually, though in the ranks, Asprey seems to have had a camera with him. Associated with Minor actions in the Struma Valley, World War One, Salonika (1916-1918).
