Photograph of two men, probably diplomats, named as Powis and Lord Kirkwood, the latter being aide de camp to Sir John Young, Lord High Commissioner of the Ionian Islands, 1859-60 (c). They are described in the caption as ‘Visitors to Corfu’. One man sits and the other stands beside him, both wearing civilian suits and hats. One man has an umbrella. A wooden sentry box is behind them.

From a photograph album of 83 photographs compiled for the Corfu Garrison Club by Capt Arthur E V Ponsonby, Grenadier Guards and presented by him on the garrison's departure to Deputy Commissary General Robert Grey Donaldson-Selby, 1859-1860.
