Stereoscopic card captioned: Pontoon bridge built by Royal Engineers in two hours across the Modder, S. Africa. From a box of 89 stereoscopic cards entitled, ‘South African War through the Stereoscope Pt 2 Vol 1’. Published by Underwood and Underwood and produced by Works and Sun Sculpture Studios, 1900 (c). A wagon carrying supplies moving across the Pontoon bridge. Caption is translated in French, German, Spanish, Russian on the back of the card. Associated with the Boer War (1899-1902).
