Manuscript letter from Thomas Jones at Bonmon [?] Castle to Maj William Lee, later Lieutenant Colonel, 16th (or The Queen’s) Regiment of (Light) Dragoons, in Marlborough, Wiltshire, 9 May 1796. The letter thanks Lee for granting him leave and discusses the move of the regiment to Marlborough. From a collection of 112 letters and envelopes addressed to Lt Col William Lee, 5th Baronet, 16th (or The Queen’s) Regiment of (Light) Dragoons, 1749-1810. Also includes photocopies of other letters from the same correspondence.
