Description
Memoriam card for the memorial of the Unknown Warrior who was to be interred in Westminster Abbey, 11 Nov 1920. Printed by East London Printing Company. From a collection of eight documents relating to G/2914 Pte Alfred Price, 7th Bn, The Buffs (East Kent Regiment) with the British Expeditionary Force. Price was wounded at the Battle of Trones Wood, an action of the Battle of the Somme on the Western Front, World War One, and died of his wounds, Fri 14 Jul 1916. Price is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France. From the collection of the former Buffs Regimental Museum.11
