Pair of anklets, other ranks’, Calcutta Scottish Volunteers, worn by Pte S Halstead, 1916 (c). Khaki drill. Stiffening down centre back and on buttonhole side vent. Self fabric foot straps sewn to each side lower edge. Eight brown composition buttons at vent with corresponding buttonholes. Lining of khaki even weave wool cotton mixture.
