Manuscript letter, dated 14 Feb 1902. Unsigned but written by Sgt J Robinson, 4th Mounted Infantry to a Mrs Sanderson. He gives the circumstances of Thurston’s death and funeral in South Africa, with his condolences as ‘a broken hearted friend’. Associated with the Boer War (1899-1902).
