Description
Photograph of Ghulam Haider, Jemadar Mohammed Zaman Khan, Sepoy Mohammed Azim and Sepoy Bahadur Khan, of the 7th Light Cavalry clambering on their Stuart III tank, 1944-1945. Stuart III was the British designation for the American M3A1 light tank. It can be easily be distinguished from the basic M3 because there is no commander’s cupola on the turret and no sponson mounted machine gun on the wings. One of 68 photographs collected for the history of 23rd Indian Division. Associated with World War Two, Far East (1941-1945).
