Photograph showing four men walking through the courtyard of a building with a fountain in the foreground, probably taken in Morocco, 1899. The man in the foreground wears traditional Arabic clothing and talks to a man in a civilian suit. The other two men wear the undress uniform of the 2nd Battalion Grenadier Guards - a blue patrol jacket and peaked cap. The three British men are named as Sgt Major William Fletcher (probably the man in the civilian suit); Sgt Newby (Master Tailor); and Drill Sgt Rolinson.

From an album of 89 photographs related to the 2nd Battalion Grenadier Guards in Gibraltar and Morocco, 1899. Mainly images showing other ranks group portraits, sports teams, marching, rifle drill.
