Description
One of twenty seven manuscript letters and cards written by RSM Arthur George Harrington, London Rifle Brigade between 2 Sep 1914 and 21 Oct 1914. Letters are written chiefly to his wife whilst waiting at Bisley and Crowborough for mobilisation for overseas service in 1914 and embarkation. From a collection of 180 documents and letters mostly written by RSM Arthur George Harrington, DCM, written to his family while with the King’s Royal Rifle Corps during the Siege and Relief of Ladysmith (1899-1900), Boer War (1899-1902) and whilst attached to the London Rifle Brigade from 1914 up to his death at the 2nd Battle of Ypres on 28 Apr 1915, World War One, Western Front (1914-1918).
