Letter from the Assistant Surgeon of the 64th Regiment (Thomas Adamson?) concerning the state of Capt James Girdlestone’s wounded arm, sent from Gibraltar on 31 Jan 1920, presumably to Girdlestone’s family. Girdlestone received the wound in March 1816 and the Surgeon has been looking after him ever since but is of the opinion that he will never regain the proper use of it.
