Manuscript letter from C Stone, 16th (or The Queen’s) Regiment of (Light) Dragoons at Weymouth to Maj William Lee, 16th (or The Queen’s) Regiment of (Light) Dragoons at Hartwell, near Aylesbbury, 28 Oct 1796. Letter thanks him for the dog he gave him and apologises for not being able to go shooting as he will not be able to go on leave due to gout. Also discusses Lee’s possible promotion within another regiment and the possibility of war with Spain.
