Letter from Earl Ligonier, Colonel of the 9th Regiment of Foot to Col Adam Williamson, Deputy Adjutant General, 20 May 1782. Writes that ‘the Ninth Regiment have always been quartered at Norwich, and considered as a Norfolk Regiment’ during his period of command. A note from Maj Money on the reverse confirms this choice.
