Manuscript letter from J Hook in Chelsea, Middlesex to Capt William Lee, later Lieutenant Colonel, 16th (or The Queen’s) Regiment of (Light) Dragoons at Guildford Barracks, Surrey, 4 Sep 1797. The letter informs Lee he has bought a horse he recently owned and is enquiring whether it’s wind was sound. From a collection of 112 letters and envelopes addressed to Lt Col William Lee, 5th Baronet, 16th (or The Queen’s) Regiment of (Light) Dragoons, 1749-1810. Also includes photocopies of other letters from the same correspondence.
