Manuscript letter from George Thomas Thomas (as signed) at Wallingford to Lt Col William Lee, 16th (or The Queen’s) Regiment of (Light) Dragoons, 4 Nov 1797. Letter informs him that he is holding a man with a doctor's certificate to say he is unfit to join Lee’s regiment, with no signs of illness apart from a pretty wife! From a collection of 112 letters and envelopes addressed to Lt Col William Lee, 5th Baronet, 16th (or The Queen’s) Regiment of (Light) Dragoons, 1749-1810. Also includes photocopies of other letters from the same correspondence.
