Manuscript letter from J Dewar in Savernake, Berkshire to Maj William Lee, later Lieutenant Colonel, 16th (or The Queen’s) Regiment of (Light) Dragoons, at the Guildford Barracks, Surrey, 19 Nov 1797 (c). The letter informs Lee that there is a half year annuity that is owed to him and to send it by his friend Barber at 5, Haymarket. From a collection of 112 letters and envelopes addressed to Lt Col William Lee, 5th Baronet, 16th (or The Queen’s) Regiment of (Light) Dragoons, 1749-1810. Also includes photocopies of other letters from the same correspondence.
