Captain McIntyre later joined the Territorial Army in 1950 (c) as Staff captain with the 47th (London) Brigade H. Q. at Duke of York’s Barracks, Chelsea. He subsequently became DAA and Quarter Master General and a Major, and thus held a commission from both the King and the Queen.
