Description
Pouch belt fittings, 1st Sikh Infantry, Punjab Frontier Force, worn by Lt Col Arthur Cautley Bunny, 1876-1897. Silver. A lion's head mask surrounded by a raised foliate design. Linked to the mask by means of a quadrupled chain, a whistle encased in holder with raised foliate design. Engraved upon the undersides of both the whistle-case and the boss, the letter, 'B'. The whistle-case and boss both have two nuts and washers for fastening to the belt.
