Copy of letter, March 1839. Written in Wellington's own hand from Lord Hill to the Duchess of Kent, relating to a commission for Galiffe's son. From a collection of letters and papers relating to the service of Col Jean Pierre Galiffe CB, 60th (or Royal American) Regiment of Foot, 1813-1839 with other items of 1849 [?] and 1914.
