Permits Sir Edward Hopton to travel to ‘France or other foreign ports for his experience and improvement abroad’. From a collection of photographs of 27 documents in Hereford City Library relating to Sir Richard Hopton and his son Sir Edward, knighted in 1604 and 1645 respectively. Associated with the English Civil War (1642-1649).
