Description
Letter to Jean Black from her brother-in-law Sgt Robert Black, Salonika, 7 Jan 1918. Shocked by Nana’s news that Father died. Suspects David’s having to leave might have been a factor. Glad it was at least a peaceful end. David appointed to cadet in Royal Flying Corps. Mima Reid writes regularly and sends generous parcels. Wishes he could do more. Tried to take leave but was not allowed. Is now sergeant. Associated with World War One, Salonika (1914-1918).
