Letter from Lt Col Standish O’Grady to his father the 1st Viscount Guillamore, dated Durango 4 Oct 1813. In this letter O’Grady relates that his regiment is on the march on the way to Tolosa and that he has been sent ahead to procure billets. The terrain they are travelling over is poor, and more mountainous than Wales. O’Grady again bemoans his lack of money, and will have to draw on another advance from an English lender. He also complains that he has received no letters from home. Typed transcript in separate folder.
