Ms papers relating to investigations into handling of regimental funds by Major William Stephen Raikes Hodson, 1834-1854, comprising of papers relating to his roles as Second in Command with the Corps of Guides and his role as Assistant to the Resident of Lahore, including letters to Hodson regarding his accounts in 1849, a memorandum of the invoices of the Corps of Guides dated 24 September 1853, together with copy extracts of civil and criminal reports to the Lahore Board regarding assessments of Hodson's character (1852), and correspondence regarding complaints brought against Hodson including letters from the Secretary to the Chief Commissioner (June 1953) concerning money owed by Hodson to Golab Rae.
