Papers relating to the Court of Inquiry regarding allegations against Major William Stephen Raikes Hodson in his role as Commandant of the Corps of Guides, February- December 1854, covering events leading up to the Inquiry, comprising of internal correspondence between Hodson and officers of the Guides Lt Godby and Lt Turner, letters between Hodson and the Chief High Commissioner's office including subject of money owed, together with papers relating to the enquiry proceedings including abstracts of statements of court proceedings such as statement of Lt Turner, and petitions raised against Hodson by men of the Guides in both Urdu and English.
