Photograph of six members of the 2nd Battalion Grenadier Guards, posing for the image in front of a low stone wall during the Boer War, South Africa, 1900-1902 (c). Five soldiers are sitting or crouching, holding their rifles, whilst the sixth man, probably an officer, sits in a chair behind them. They are wearing khaki drill uniform and pith helmets. The outline of a rocky hill can be seen behind them.
