Inventory description: Photocopy of note on James Murray (alias Lillibridge), July 1966; Murray was first a Captain in the service of the Doulat Rao Scindia and then Zemindar of Benares over his own self-made kingdom; he became a Major of 7,000 irregular horse under the Marquis of Wellesley serving in the Scindia campaign of the 2nd Maratha War (1803-1805).
