Inventory description: Manuscript volume bound in paper-covered boards consisting of the diary of an unidentified officer serving with Shah Shujas contingent in the army of the Indus during the 1st Afghan War, November 1838 to September 1839; internal evidence suggests that the author of the diary was an officer of the 3rd Bengal Native Infantry, raised in October 1838.
