Inventory description: Manuscript letter, Vilvoerden, 18 Oct 1745; from the Duke of Cumberland's Secretary, Sir Everard Fawkener, to Gen Sir John Ligonier, expressing the Duke's desire for the early embarkation of his troops for Scotland, and informing him of the progress of the campaign in the Netherlands; associated with the War of the Austrian Succession (1740-1748) and 2nd Jacobite Rebellion (1745-1746).
