Description
Inventory description: Typescript copy of a letter sent to Sgt G Adams, 12th Bn Middlesex Regiment by Lt Col Francis Aylmer Maxwell on 13 Oct 1916; Sgt Adams was wounded during an advance led by Lt Col Maxwell and unable to continue. Lt Col Maxwell who was unaware of his injury at the time, congratulates Sgt Adams on his bravery under fire, and his gallantry in doing his duty; associated with World War One, Western Front (1914-1918).
