Possibly worn by Joseph Ashley, late of the East Surrey Regiment and Metropolitan Police, or his father Joseph Ashley, late of 9th (East Norfolk) Regiment and Metropolitan Police. Quatrefoil die struck badge, with the inscription, 'THE ST. JOHN AMBULANCE ASSOCIATION', on a circlet at the centre surrounding a maltese cross. On the reverse is engraved, 'A204996 JOSEPH ASHLEY' and stamped, 'REGISTERED AT ST JOHN'S GATE LONDON'. RIng suspension.
