Rectangular with rounded edges, hinged, with foliate decoration engraved along the borders, verso ribbed edge for striking matches. Part of a collection of items owned by Sgt Samuel James Pye, 1st Essex Royal Garrison Artillery Volunteers and City Imperial Volunteers.
