Description
Diary kept by Lt Robert Francis Thomson, 28th Light Cavalry, concerning his movements in Persia between 14 Aug 1918 and 18 Oct 1918. During this time he escorted a group of Austrian, German, Hungarian and Bolshevik prisoners of war from Ashkabad to Rum. The diary lists his orders for the management of the prisoners and mentions problems of rations and transport. Associated with World War One, Persia (1914-1918).
