From a photograph album of 91 photographs belonging to 2/Lt Robert Francis Thomson, King’s Own Scottish Borderers, attached to 28th Light Cavalry, 1917-1919. Contains photographs taken by Thomson and colleagues. Assembled after Thomson returned from service in Persia, with photographs predominantly relating to India, Persia, Russia and Thomson’s return journey to England through Persia and Greece. A chronology provided by Thomson’s family indicates that some of the dates he ascribes to his photographs may not be correct.
