Description
Two pages of a diary style account written by 2/Lt (later Capt) Arnold Roy Ubsdell, 66th Punjabis, between 30 Apr 1916 and 4 Jul 1916 after his capture at the fall of Kut-al-Amara in Mesopotamia on 29 Apr 1916. Chronicles the journey of his group of officers to their camp in Kastamuni in Turkey. Written in tiny handwriting, presumably because of a shortage of paper. Enlarged copies are included. Associated with the Siege of Kut, World War One, Mesopotamia (1914-1918) 1915-1916.
