Book with ornate cover compiled in manuscript by 2/Lt (later Capt) Arnold Roy Ubsdell, 66th Punjabis, nd. Containing transcriptions of the proclamations and communiques of Maj Gen Charles Vere Ferrers Townshend to his troops during the Siege of Kut-al-Amara in Mesopotamia between 26 Jan 1916 and 26 Apr 1916. Also included are ration scales for the siege and an order of battle of the garrison. Associated with the Siege of Kut, World War One, Mesopotamia (1914-1918) 1915-1916.
