Scrapbook of 237 documents, photographs and badges, compiled by Matron Winifred Lizie Aldwinckle, relating to her World War Two service with the Queen Alexandra’s Imperial Military Nursing Service 1939-1946. Covers service on the hospital ship TSS Maid of Kent, in Northern Ireland, Sierra Leone, Normandy (she was one of the first 16 QAIMNS to arrive in Jun 1944), Indonesia and Bali. She was twice Mentioned in Despatches.
