Description
Child’s dressing gown owned by Antony Mallaby, son of Maj Gen Aubertin Walter Sothern Mallaby, 2nd Punjab Regiment, 1939-1945. Dressing gown is an off white colour with cloth badges sewn on. There are 29 cloth badges in total, ten on the back, five on the right sleeve, six on the left sleeve and eight on the front. Associated with World War Two, Far East (1941-1945). Maj Gen Aubertin Walter Sothern Mallaby served in the 2nd Punjab Regiment and for the latter part of World War Two was Director of Military Operations at Army Headquarters, India.
