TS Letter from Lawrence to his mother. Addressed from Neverset Farm, 24 miles south of Mafeking. He mentions advancing under the orders of Colonel Mahon of the S Hussars. A 1,000 strong unit advanced towards enemy positions from Kimberley. Lawrence recalls being hit by an enemy bullet but was lucky to get away with just bruising. He recalls being taken to a rural farm along with the rest of the wounded men.
