MS Letter written by Lawrence Lockhart Maxwell to his Father Thomas Maxwell. The letter is addressed as being from Potchefstroom. The letter includes refereance to Lord Roberts and Lawrence Lockhart Maxwell tells his father that Roberts is much more focused on getting to Pretoria and has left men behind such as Lawrence Lockhart Maxwell to 'Pacify the country.' Lockhart tells his father of his annoyance at the fact that Lord Roberts has left them behind.
