States that he wishes to apply for a commission but has not been passed fit for military service, and discusses strained relations between British and German expatriates in Santos. From a collection of personal correspondence and notes of Douglas Hamlin McKie, Artists' Rifles and Northumberland Fusiliers who was killed at the Battle of Arras, 1917. Sent during 1915.
