Typescript letter from the former employer of Albert Henry Haughton, Eugen Baedeker Limited, Birmingham, dated 29 Nov 1915. Enquires as to how he is getting on in the Army and holding open his job until after the war is over. From a collection of papers and a photograph relating to F.2364 L/Cpl Albert H Haughton, 23rd Bn, Duke of Cambridge's Own (Middlesex Regiment), 1915-1916. Haughton was one of 32 soldiers lost in the battalion's first very costly action at Flers-Courcellette on 15 Sep 1916. He is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.
