Shoulder sling, 1948-1980. Made of Indian hide and worn by Col Leslie Collingwood Sharpe, 1st Bn Middlesex Regiment (Duke of Cambridge’s Own), when Col (Q) C & T 2 MOD and member of Army Dress Committee and afterwards, 1964-1980. Specially selected for Col Sharpe by RSM G B A Chittock, Essex Regiment, of Highgate School from a selection at Moss Bros; Chittock treated the belt and it was used by Colonel Sharpe throughout his Army career, 1948- 1980.
