MS Letter to an unkown person. The letter opens with Lawrence arriving in Durban, South Africa and his onwards journey to Cape town. The letter is marked with the name of the ship Upada and was most likely written aboard on his way to Cape town. Lawrence Lockhart Maxwell also mentions the R.Y.S (Royal Yacht Squadron) Steam Yacht, writing that it has space for 5016 wounded officers.
