Description
Pen and ink sketch maps, printed map, and commission associated with Lt Gen Sir Jasper Nicolls and his service during the Anglo-Nepalese War [Gorkha War] (1814-1816), the Siege of Bharatpur (1825), and the First Anglo-Afghan War (1838-1842); consisting of map of Kabul (1842), commission appointing Lt Gen Nicolls to Commander-in-Chief in India (1839), sketch showing the defences at Almora (1815), sketch of the elevation of land around Jalalabad (c 1840), and map of the Fort of Bharatpur (1825).
