Helmet badge, gilt metal, 1944 (c). Associated with Corps of Royal Engineers. Said to have been worn at the front of the solar topi or bush hat. A voided monarchial crown bearing two horizontally placed copper loop fittings upon the reverse. From a collection of thirteen badges worn or owned by D P Bennet, Corps of Royal Engineers and Royal Bombay Sappers and Miners, 1942-1947.
